BARISOL (BARIUM SULPHATE) OR BLANC FIXE

BARISOL is chemically synthetic Barium Sulphate with surface modified. Its snow white colour imparts excellent shade and brightness to the end product. Ultra fine Barium Sulphate particles of BARISOL (BARIUM SULPHATE) OR BLANC FIXE act as a spacer for prime pigments and hence contribute to the hiding with very high gloss in end application.

Paint & Pigments

BARISOL (BARIUM SULPHATE) OR BLANC FIXE is used successfully in industrial paints, its good mechanical properties makes it a high quality functional extender for standard powder coating systems. It is excellently suitable for the cost optimization of formulations via increased hiding power and possible partial replacement of pigments. The special advantages of BARISOL (BARIUM SULPHATE) OR BLANC FIXE include its good loading properties, good rheological properties and excellent compatibility with colored pigments.

Automotive paint systems: For use in ex-tender systems, due to gloss retention and excellent mechanical properties. High Solids Paints: Partial substitution of Sachtleben micro for other pigments achieves significant reduction of volatile matters

Paper

Due to its chemical resistance to acids and alkalis (e.g. acid-glued papers), BARISOL (BARIUM SULPHATE) OR BLANC FIXE is particularly suitable for use as a filler in the pulp. For use in black and colored pigmented, wax and resin impregnated papers, thanks to its color neutrality. Blanc Fixe has a beneficial effect on porosity (reduction of mottling). Can also be used as a pigment in paper sizes, with a high whiteness. Plastics and rubber For use as an extender in color sensitive thermoplastics systems and for high gloss plastic surfaces. Also suitable for use in glazes and impregnation agents, grinding pastes, lubricants and separating agents, additives and soaps

Decorative papers: By expelling air in the pores. More uniform resin penetration and

reduction of mottling in colored decorative papers.

Ideal Properties for Paper making: High whiteness, gloss and good printability (in cardboard and paperboard sizes, Heaviness increases the GSM of paper.

Plastics and rubber Thermoplastics: enhances the efficiency of coloured pigments in master batches and

pastes. imparts a feeling of quality and luxury. Has a positive effect on mechanical and visual properties, in particular impact strength and gloss, in thermoplastic compounds. Elastomers: Particularly suitable as an extender, since free of rubber toxins.no effects on storage stability and resistance to aging.
